Pediatric patient in Tacloban being evaluated for cancer in the eye.

A short visit in Tacloban showed families still living in tents near the airport. Our patients who were advised of the pending transfer to the relocation areas last June 2014 are still living in the congested bunkhouses. When will they finally have a home of their own? A family asked for help to rebuild their shelter in Javier.
At our mission chapel, children with pale conjunctivae and pale lips happily greeted me.We started training able patients on a livelihood project: making pearl rosaries. I found 2 patients who were willing to try making lace (crochet and embroidery). ... Yes, life must go on.

So sad and horrible to see this little child...suffering like that...
Again and again thank you so much for the wonderful work you're doing there!
